Overview

The goal of the HKIS 2024 Chinese Studies and World Language Conference is to provide an effective platform for language teachers to learn and share new ideas and best practices. The theme of the 2024 Conference is "Low Tech vs. High Tech for Language Teaching in the Era of AI." Participants will be able to get inspiration from internationally renowned experts virtually as well as learn practical strategies from their regional peers through in-person breakout sessions. 

This year, the conference will include a Pre-Conference Workshop focused on understanding language proficiency, progression, oral proficiency assessment, and effective strategies for instruction. The Main Conference will feature a Keynote sharing a high-level perspective on the Impact of AI on language teaching. Breakout sessions will follow.

Cost

Pre-Conference Workshop: HK$1,000/ per day/ per participant (includes tea, lunch, and refreshments)

Main Conference: HK$1,000 /participant (includes tea, lunch, and refreshments)
